Mr Price Appears on Channel 4’s Embarrassing Fat Bodies, 13th June 2011
Consultant Mr Richard Price conducts extensive surgery to restore quality of life to a patient following excessive weight loss in Channel 4 programme. Mr Richard Price, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, will be featuring on Channel 4’s flagship health programme, Embarrassing Bodies, this month, where he will conduct bariatric surgery on a patient who has lost significant weight. As its name suggests, Embarrassing Bodies is a programme centred on helping patients with health issues that they find embarrassing or that they have found no help with treating previously.

Katie – My Beautiful Friends
Mr Price was filmed at work in Addenbrookes, where he undertakes facial reconstruction, for part of the Channel 4 TV series ‘Katie – My Beautiful Friends’. He talks to a patient facing significant facial reconstruction about the surgery and what it might mean for him. The build up to the operation was filmed in the Autumn/Winter of 2010.
