Facial Palsy Surgery

Facial Palsy is the weakness of the facial muscles and can come from a number of causes. The most common in the general population is a stroke, but otherwise Bells Palsy, tumours and infections can also cause this weakness.

Treatment for facial palsy is complex and involves a number of both surgical and non-surgical options. Generally treatment targets eye closure and mouth function separately. Treatments are varied and include nerve grafts, muscle transfers, eyelid operations, botulinum treatments, fat grafting and even facelifts on some occasions.

Mr. Price is a specialist in all areas of Facial Reconstruction and works closely with other specialities in the field. If you would like to see him privately, please book into the hospital of your choice on our contacts page. If you wish to see him at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, please ask your family doctor to refer you to him there by letter. If using Choose & Book, please note that Mr. Price’s Facial Palsy Clinics are on a Friday morning.
